Tour Overview

1 stop

Navona Square

Navona Square is one of the most famous places in the city. Its characteristic oval shape follows directly the ancient perimeter of the underlying stadium of Domitian. Built by Emperor Domitian before 86 AD, the stadium was used for gymnastic competitions and, together with a nearby Odeon intended for competitions and musical performances, it was to constitute a real sports-cultural complex.
2 stop

Pantheon

The Pantheon is the best preserved monument of ancient Rome, it was also one of the most prestigious. Once, it was in the bottom of a large courtyard. Today it is in direct contact with the street, on the beautiful Piazza della Rotonda.
3 stop

Column of Marcus Aurelius

The Column that stands in the center of the square having the same name was erected between the year of the death of Marcus Aurelius in 180 AD, and 193 AD. The construction work was completed by Commodus, the emperor's son and successor.
4 stop

Madama Palace (Senate)

Palazzo Madama is the palace of Rome. It is the seat of the Italian Senate. You can find it next to Piazza Navona. Built in 1503, Palazzo Madama was commissioned by the Medici family. The Medicis were essentially the most powerful families in Florence. The family owns several palaces and villas all over Italy. The palace was the primary residence of the Medicis in Rome.
5 stop

Fontana di Trevi

Trevi Fountain is the most beautiful fountain in Rome. Measuring some 20 meters in width by 26 meters in height, Trevi Fountain is also the largest fountain in the city. Interestingly enough, the name of Trevi derives from Tre Vie (three ways), since the fountain was the meeting point of three streets.
6 stop

Square of Spain

Piazza di Spagna, with the staircase leading to the church of Trinità dei Monti, the fountain of la Barcaccia, the house museum of English poets Keats and Shelley and much more, is beyond doubt one of Rome's most beautiful and famous squares.
